Are you learning?

I was asked recently if I was interested in participating in a networking/ movie-making event.  The idea is to gather entrepreneurs to share the keys to their success both on camera in a quick-interview format, as well as with your peers.

My immediate response was:  “I’d rather talk about failure.”

At the most base level, failure feeds a fire that already burns white hot for most entrepreneurs – the need to crush it.  In the words of Brad Feld “the dude that just came off a failure and is ready to go again is super-extraordinary-amazingly hungry for a success.”

More importantly, we should draw energy and inspiration from anyone willing to talk openly about how to learn from failure. I’m finding this thread compelling in reading Founders at Work, and in the Mark PIncus interview below, which came by way of Feld.

No word yet about whether the movie concept has morphed from the original, but I’d be happy to share my lessons-learned… just ping me.
